Summary
As fallout from Operation Treadstone threatens to expose the CIA's black-ops programs, the agency moves to terminate a parallel project called Outcome and eliminate its chemically enhanced field agents. Operative Aaron Cross survives the purge and teams up with scientist Marta Shearing, who is hunted for her work on the program, as the two flee across continents in search of the medication keeping his abilities intact.
