Summary
Widowed U.S. President Andrew Shepherd, in the middle of a re-election campaign, begins dating environmental lobbyist Sydney Ellen Wade, whose firm is pushing a bill at odds with his own crime legislation. As his Republican opponent attacks Sydney's character and his poll numbers slide, Shepherd must decide whether to keep playing political defense or stand up for both the relationship and his convictions.
