Summary
An Oklahoma roughneck travels to Marseille to visit his estranged daughter, who is imprisoned for a murder she insists she did not commit. As he tries to clear her name in a foreign city he barely understands, he forms an unexpected bond with a local woman and her young child, and is forced to confront hard truths about himself and his daughter.
