Summary
A group of teenage alien prisoners escape a mining colony in the Delta Quadrant by commandeering an abandoned Starfleet ship, the USS Protostar. Guided by a holographic Captain Janeway, the unlikely crew learns the ideals of Starfleet as they journey toward the Federation, pursued by the warlord who once enslaved them.
