Summary
Samantha Baker's sixteenth birthday is forgotten by her entire family amid the chaos of her older sister's wedding. As she pines for handsome senior Jake Ryan, she also has to fend off the relentless attentions of a geeky freshman known as the Geek. Over one mortifying weekend of high school dances, drunken parties, and family embarrassments, Samantha navigates first love and the indignities of being almost grown up.
