Summary
After her mother disappears on her eighteenth birthday, Clary Fray discovers she is descended from the Shadowhunters, a secret order of human-angel hybrids who hunt demons. Drawn into a hidden world of warlocks, vampires, werewolves, and seelies, she joins a team of young Shadowhunters to search for her mother and a powerful artifact called the Mortal Cup, while uncovering dangerous truths about her own past.
