Summary
A reserved marine biology student joins the crew of an Irish fishing trawler for a research voyage off the west coast of Ireland. When the boat strays into a restricted area and becomes entangled with a strange bioluminescent creature in the deep, the crew face a parasitic infection that threatens to spread, forcing the student to weigh quarantine against the others' desire to return home.
