Summary
After her mother's death, aspiring ballerina Sara moves to Chicago's South Side to live with her estranged father and transfers to a predominantly Black high school. There she befriends Chenille and falls for her brother Derek, a talented student bound for Georgetown, who helps Sara rediscover her passion for dance by blending ballet with hip-hop as she prepares to audition again for Juilliard.
