Summary
After a U.S. embassy evacuation in Yemen turns deadly when Marines under Colonel Terry Childers open fire on a hostile crowd, Childers is court-martialed and faces charges of murder. He turns to his old friend, a burned-out military lawyer named Hayes Hodges, to defend him as the government scrambles to bury evidence of what really happened on the ground.
Released in 2000, Rules of Engagement is a drama, thriller and war film.
187 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 195 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track. Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 7,846 2000s films, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 621 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately.
