Summary
Hong Kong detective Chan Ka-Kui is loaned to a mainland Chinese operation and sent undercover against the drug lord Chaibat, starting with a staged labour-camp break that frees a jailed lieutenant of the gang and buys him the man's trust. Posing as a fellow criminal, he is paired with Inspector Yang Chien-Hua of mainland security, who goes in as his sister and proves at least his equal in a fight. The cover holds until his girlfriend May stumbles into the operation in Malaysia, where the gang moves for a prisoner exchange. The third Police Story film, directed by Stanley Tong, built around large-scale stunts performed by Jackie Chan and Michelle Yeoh themselves.
