Summary
Set in medieval India, the film follows Rani Padmavati, the beautiful queen of the Mewar kingdom, whose husband Maharawal Ratan Singh rules from the fortress of Chittor. When the tyrannical Delhi Sultan Alauddin Khilji hears of her legendary beauty, he becomes obsessed with possessing her and lays siege to the kingdom, forcing the Rajputs into a desperate stand to defend their honor.
