Summary
Unemployed New Jersey lingerie buyer Stephanie Plum takes a job as a bail bond recovery agent at her cousin's bail bonds office. Desperate for cash, she goes after a high-bond fugitive: Joe Morelli, a former vice cop accused of murder and also the man who romanced and dumped her as a teenager. With help from a seasoned bounty hunter, she stumbles through the chase while untangling what really happened.
