Summary
A reimagining of the classic Norman Lear sitcom, this series follows three generations of a Cuban-American family living in Los Angeles. Penelope, a newly single Army veteran navigating life after deployment, raises her two children with the help of her old-school traditional mother Lydia and their quirky building manager Schneider, tackling issues like mental health, immigration, sexuality, and cultural identity with humor and heart.
One Day at a Time is a 2017 comedy and drama television series. Its comedy subtype is Dramedy.
120 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 137 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track. Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 3,235 2010s television series, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 31 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately.
