Summary
In the aftermath of a global nuclear war, a U.S. submarine commander arrives in Australia, one of the last habitable regions, as a deadly radioactive cloud drifts south. He and the submarine's crew investigate a mysterious signal from America while the people of Melbourne face the certainty that the fallout will soon reach them, prompting reflection on love, duty, and how to spend their final months.
