Summary
In modern-day Moscow, an ancient truce between the forces of Light and Darkness is enforced by two opposing groups: the Night Watch, who police supernatural beings of the Dark, and the Day Watch, who monitor the Light. Anton, a reluctant Light Other working for the Night Watch, hunts a rogue vampire and uncovers a cursed woman whose vortex of damnation threatens the city, while a prophesied Great Other prepares to tip the balance.
