Summary
In 1933, Welsh journalist Gareth Jones travels to the Soviet Union determined to interview Stalin and uncover the truth behind the regime's propaganda of prosperity. Slipping away from his official minders, he ventures into Ukraine and witnesses the horrors of the Holodomor famine, then struggles to get the world to believe his account against powerful forces invested in silence.
Mr. Jones is a 2019 biography, drama and thriller film.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 13,058 2010s films, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 128 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. 136 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 139 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track.
