Summary
A dark fey named Maleficent curses the newborn Princess Aurora out of revenge, condemning her to fall into eternal sleep. As Aurora grows under the protection of three good fairies, Maleficent watches over the girl and develops an unexpected bond with her. When the curse takes effect, Maleficent must confront her past and find a way to save the princess she has come to love.
