Summary
Alex the lion, Marty the zebra, Gloria the hippo, and Melman the giraffe attempt to fly back to New York from Madagascar, but their patched-up plane crash-lands on the African mainland. There, Alex reunites with the pride he was taken from as a cub, while each of his friends navigates their own encounters with their wild kin. Meanwhile, the penguins and King Julien scheme to repair the plane.
