Summary
A lonely Hawaiian girl named Lilo adopts what she believes is a dog, unaware that her new pet is actually Stitch, a destructive genetic experiment who has escaped from an alien prison. As intergalactic agents close in to recapture him, Stitch begins to bond with Lilo and her struggling older sister Nani, learning the meaning of ohana, or family.
