Summary
Set in a dystopian near-future India ruled by a totalitarian regime called Aryavarta that enforces rigid purity laws and segregates citizens by caste and religion, the series follows Shalini, a mother separated from her young daughter Leila after her mixed-faith marriage is violently broken up. Sent to a brutal women's reeducation camp, she navigates the oppressive system in a desperate search to find her child.
