Summary
In 2003, Vietnam veteran Larry 'Doc' Shepherd reunites with two former Marine buddies, a rowdy bar owner and a reformed reverend, to bury his son, a young Marine killed in Iraq. As the three travel up the East Coast with the coffin, they confront old wounds, painful truths about their shared past, and hard questions about service, sacrifice, and country.
