Summary
In medieval France, a young pickpocket called Mouse escapes from prison and falls in with a brooding knight, Etienne Navarre, and his hawk. He soon discovers that Navarre and his lost love Isabeau are bound by a cruel curse from a jealous bishop: she becomes a hawk by day, he a wolf by night, so they can never meet in human form. Mouse helps them seek a way to break the curse and confront the bishop.
