Summary
A petroleum company expedition to a remote, fog-shrouded island in search of oil instead discovers a giant ape worshipped by the natives. The crew captures the creature and brings him to New York as a corporate spectacle, but Kong, fixated on a stranded young actress, breaks free and rampages through the city toward a tragic final stand atop the World Trade Center.
