A withdrawn 13-year-old boy discovers an unfinished bunker in the woods near his family's secluded home and drugs his mother, father, and older sister before transporting them down into the pit. While his family remains trapped below, John experiments with life on his own, testing the boundaries of freedom and adulthood as he decides when, or whether, to let them out.
