Summary
Directed by Clint Eastwood, this biographical drama follows J. Edgar Hoover, the long-serving first director of the FBI, as he recounts his decades shaping the bureau into a modern crime-fighting force. Told through framing-device dictation of his memoirs, the film traces his pursuit of gangsters and the Lindbergh kidnapper, his complicated bond with his mother, and his lifelong, intensely private relationship with associate Clyde Tolson.
