Summary
An American poet living in New York receives a mysterious book from her brother in Rome about the Three Mothers, a trio of ancient witches who secretly rule the world from three buildings. As she investigates the strange occurrences in her gothic apartment building, she uncovers that it houses Mater Tenebrarum, the Mother of Darkness, while a series of grisly deaths surround anyone who learns the truth.
