Summary
In the chaotic aftermath of Pearl Harbor, U.S. Navy Captain Rockwell Torrey is given a chance to redeem his career by leading a difficult counteroffensive in the South Pacific. As he navigates strained relationships with his estranged son, a new romance with a Navy nurse, and a troubled subordinate officer, Torrey must contend with both the enemy and Navy politics on the road to a major island invasion.
