Summary
A struggling private investigator is hired to look into the death of George Reeves, the actor who played Superman on television, whose 1959 demise was officially ruled a suicide. As the detective digs into Reeves's affair with a studio executive's wife and his troubled career, the film alternates between the investigation and flashbacks of the actor's rise and fall in Hollywood.
