Summary
Bertram Pincus, a misanthropic Manhattan dentist, briefly dies during a routine procedure and wakes up able to see ghosts, who promptly pester him with unfinished business. One persistent spirit convinces him to break up his widow's engagement to a man he claims is wrong for her, forcing the reclusive Pincus to reconnect with the living.
