Summary
In a future Tokyo, cyborg operative Motoko Kusanagi leads an elite counter-terrorism task force called Section 9. When a mysterious hacker called Kuze begins launching coordinated attacks on high-level government officials, Kusanagi is tasked with infiltrating the conspiracy. As she pursues the case, she begins questioning her own identity and the nature of consciousness.
