Summary
A distraught white woman stumbles into a New Jersey hospital claiming a Black carjacker abducted her young son in a nearby housing project. A veteran detective who works the projects tries to find the boy while containing the racial firestorm the accusation ignites between the predominantly Black neighborhood and the surrounding police force. As inconsistencies in the mother's story emerge, the search turns into an investigation of what really happened to the child.
Released in 2006, Freedomland is a crime, drama and mystery film.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 7,846 2000s films, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 1,186 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. 133 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 140 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track.
