Summary
After being dumped by his TV-star girlfriend Sarah Marshall, struggling composer Peter Bretter flees to a Hawaiian resort to clear his head, only to discover Sarah is staying at the same hotel with her new rock-star boyfriend. As Peter tries to move on with the help of a kind front-desk clerk, he is forced to confront his ex, his rival, and his own stalled ambitions.
