Summary
During an extension of the London Underground, workers unearth an ancient object initially mistaken for an unexploded German bomb. Professor Bernard Quatermass and a team of scientists investigate and discover the object is far older and stranger than imagined, with disturbing links to humanity's origins and a series of unexplained phenomena surrounding the site.
