Summary
In the late 1800s, a poor Irish tenant farmer flees his homeland alongside the spirited daughter of his former landlord, and the unlikely pair journey to America chasing the promise of free land in the Oklahoma Land Rush. Struggling with poverty, class tensions, and their tangled feelings for each other in Boston's immigrant slums, they push west to stake their claim on the frontier.
