Summary
A disturbed, socially alienated teenage girl with aspirations of becoming a surgeon clashes with her overbearing religious mother while retreating into increasingly graphic medical and sexual fantasies. As her behavior grows more erratic at school and at home, she becomes obsessed with performing a transgressive act she believes will finally win her mother's love and prove her surgical calling.
