Summary
When a meteor crashes in the Arizona desert, community college professors Ira Kane and Harry Block discover it contains rapidly evolving alien life forms. As the organisms mutate from single cells into increasingly complex and dangerous creatures, Ira and Harry race against the military and time itself to stop the extraterrestrial invasion before it overtakes Earth.
