Summary

In 1997 Rio de Janeiro, Captain Nascimento, a burned-out officer in BOPE (the elite paramilitary unit of the military police), hunts for a successor so he can leave the force before his wife gives birth. As he trains two idealistic rookie cops, Neto and Matias, the film follows their brutal initiation into BOPE and the corruption-riddled war on the favela drug trade ahead of a papal visit.

Elite Squad is a 2007 action, crime and drama film.

Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 7,846 2000s films, not against the whole corpus. 122 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 124 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 1,124 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately.
