Summary
On the desert planet Arrakis, sole source of the prized spice melange, young Paul Atreides flees into the wilderness after his noble family is betrayed and destroyed by the rival House Harkonnen. Taken in by the native Fremen, Paul embraces their ways and rises to lead an uprising against the Harkonnens and the Padishah Emperor who sanctioned the treachery.
