Summary

While on a ski vacation in the Austrian Alps, an American family narrowly escapes a controlled avalanche at a mountainside restaurant. The father instinctively flees, leaving his wife and sons behind, and the aftermath forces the couple to confront the cracks in their marriage. A remake of the Swedish film Force Majeure.

Released in 2020, Downhill is a comedy and drama film. Its comedy subtype is Dramedy.

A second review pool sits behind it as well: 315 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 7,929 2020s films, not against the whole corpus. 305 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 317 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track.
