Scored from 189 calibrated IMDb reviewers. Cohort: Films · 2010s (13,059 peers).
Summary
A solitary substitute teacher takes a temporary assignment at a struggling public high school, where he must navigate apathetic students, burned-out colleagues, and his own unresolved family trauma. Outside the classroom, he forms an unexpected bond with a young runaway, while a troubled art student at the school latches onto him as well. The film examines emotional detachment as both a survival mechanism and a quiet form of self-destruction.
