Summary
In turn-of-the-century France, country-born Sidonie-Gabrielle Colette marries the older Parisian writer Henry Gauthier-Villars, known as Willy, who persuades her to ghostwrite the Claudine novels published under his name. As the books become a sensation, Colette chafes against his control and explores her own desires and identity, ultimately fighting to claim authorship of her work and her life.
Released in 2018, Colette is a biography, drama and history film.
Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 13,058 2010s films, not against the whole corpus. A second review pool sits behind it as well: 111 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. 131 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 133 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track.
