Summary
When their daughter leaves for a year abroad with the Peace Corps, suburban couple Luther and Nora Krank decide to skip Christmas entirely and book a Caribbean cruise instead. Their nosy neighbors are scandalized by the Kranks' refusal to decorate, throw a party, or participate in the usual festivities, leading to mounting pressure on the holdouts. A last-minute change of plans forces the Kranks to scramble to pull off Christmas after all.
Released in 2004, Christmas with the Kranks is a comedy and family film. Inside comedy it is classed as Goofy.
Rotten Tomatoes carries a separate audience for the same title, 2,208 of whom clear the calibration test. Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 7,846 2000s films, not against the whole corpus. The calibrated figure is built from 275 of its IMDb reviewers. A broader pool of 282 reviewers with two or more reviews feeds the raw-average track instead.
