Summary
In Rio de Janeiro, Dora, a jaded former schoolteacher who writes letters for illiterate customers at the Central Station, reluctantly takes in a young boy named Josue after his mother is killed in an accident. Together they embark on a journey across Brazil to find the father he has never met, a trip that gradually transforms them both.
