Summary
When a manned Mars mission is scrubbed at the last second due to a fatal technical flaw, NASA officials coerce the three astronauts into faking the landing from a secret desert soundstage to protect the program's funding. When the cover-up begins to unravel, the astronauts must run for their lives while a dogged reporter chases the story.
