Summary
A small-time Parisian crook idolizing American film noir steals a car and impulsively shoots a policeman on the road. On the run in Paris, he tries to collect money owed to him while drifting through cafes and hotel rooms with a young American journalism student selling newspapers on the Champs-Elysees, as the police close in on his trail.
