Summary
Based on the autobiography of Ron Kovic, this film follows a patriotic young American who enlists in the Marines and is sent to Vietnam, where he is gravely wounded and paralyzed from the chest down. Returning home to a country torn by the war, he struggles with disillusionment, a broken VA system, and personal demons before finding purpose as an outspoken anti-war activist.
