Summary

Four lifelong friends - Diane, Vivian, Sharon, and Carol - have their lives upended when they read 'Fifty Shades of Grey' for their monthly book club. The provocative novel inspires each of them to reignite romance and rethink long-standing relationships, from a widow considering a new suitor to a divorced judge navigating online dating and a long-married wife trying to spark her husband's interest.

Released in 2018, Book Club is a comedy, drama and romance film. Its comedy subtype is Dramedy.

A second review pool sits behind it as well: 283 Rotten Tomatoes reviewers clear the same calibration test, and Rankquant scores them separately. 259 IMDb reviewers are calibrated for this title, and those are the ones the calibrated score reads; a separate, broader pool of 267 reviewers with at least two reviews each feeds the raw-average track. Its in-cohort standing is measured against the other 13,058 2010s films, not against the whole corpus.
