Summary
Severine, a beautiful and reserved young housewife married to a devoted surgeon, finds herself unable to be intimate with her husband while harboring vivid masochistic fantasies. To bridge the gap between her inner desires and outer life, she secretly begins working afternoons at a discreet Parisian brothel, where her double life soon attracts a dangerous young criminal whose obsession threatens to unravel everything.
