Summary
In a remote Louisiana bayou community called the Bathtub, a fierce six-year-old girl named Hushpuppy lives with her ailing, hot-tempered father Wink. As rising waters threaten their home and her father's health declines, Hushpuppy imagines ancient aurochs breaking free from melting ice caps, and she sets out to find her place in a crumbling world.
