Summary
A neurotic New York products tester, dumped by his activist girlfriend for being insufficiently committed to a cause, travels to the small Latin American country of San Marcos. Through a series of bumbling mishaps he gets swept up in the local revolution and unexpectedly ends up as the country's bearded leader, then has to deal with the consequences back home.
